What is Royal Jelly

Royal jelly is a substance produced by worker honey bees meant for mainly feed queen larvae and the queen through out its entire life.

Where does Royal Jelly come from

Special glands in the heads of worker bees secret the royal jelly which is sometimes called bee milk . The composition is more than half  water with proteins and sugars the other components.

Significance of Royal Jelly to bees and Humans

If fed to an ordinary female bee in the larval stage, royal jelly will transform her into the queen bee. As a queen, she will grow one and half times normal size, become extremely fertile and lay over a thousand
eggs every day. It is important to note that for two to three days, royal jelly is the only food given to all the young larvae but for larvae meant to be queens, this is the only exclusive diet.

To Humans, Royal Jelly contains a remarkable amounts of proteins, lipids, glucides, vitamins, hormones, enzymes, mineral substances and important factors which act as biocatalysts in cell regeneration processes within the body.
